Fighting in the shadows.Shining in the lights.

The best work happens out of sight, in long hours of learning, debugging and refining. The results speak when they emerge.

The sky

At fourteen I placed third nationally in an astronomy competition and spent a funded week at a national science camp in Jijel. Years later I trained models on simulations of the Sun.

Puzzles

Proof-based mathematics came first: a perfect score in the Medea provincial competition, then the national olympiad. I still like a hard problem with a clean answer.

Roots and languages

Born in Algiers, at home in Medea. I work in Arabic, French and English, and my second paper is about finding a classical Arabic poem from a half-remembered line.
